About Me

jello & welcome to jellyworms.net – my own little personal corner of the world wide web! my name is shelly. i’m thirty-six years old. i live in the mojave wasteland with my husband 웃♥유 and our 2 cats: molly & pixel. fly high over the rainbow bridge, lucy-cat, we miss you so much.

some of my hobbies include backyard birding, desert drives from the passenger side, exploring the world via google street view & photo spheres (thank you so much to everyone who uploads, you bring so much joy to my life), collecting pressed pennies, archiving pictures of things that i’m afraid of losing to time and yapping about the current nevada informational rabbit hole i have been reading about.

i previously spent a decade focusing my efforts on a movement in las vegas that was bringing awareness to the horrible conditions that captive dolphins were living in under the scorching desert sun. some of my accomplishments over that time included several tv and radio interviews, bringing former dolphin-trainer turned activist ric o’barry back to protest on the strip with more than 100 fans from over the world along with a screening of his documentary “the cove”, and documenting the pox condition, forcing the hotel to provide medical treatment. the dolphins no longer swim in the desert.
