Happy Pride 2025!

Did you know the lights around the Welcome to Las Vegas sign frequently change color to support various causes? It’s been green for Earth day, red for heart health, etc. Yesterday the lights were turned rainbow on the famous sign to celebrate Pride month here in Vegas. I’ve lived in the city now for over 12 years, and this was one of the only times I’ve been down to the sign to take a picture. I wish the light schedule was publicized more because I want to get pictures of all of the different patterns.

The giant arches outside of the Stratosphere also went rainbow over the weekend. The colors were so bold and beautiful. A few of the pixels are broken but it doesn’t take too much away from the overall effect. There is even a viewing platform on the other side of the boulevard so you can set up your tripods and take pictures.

Quite a few of the properties on the strip have advanced lighting packages that allow them to be fun and show off RGB but they don’t like to use them. I think it makes the strip look so much more fun and inviting. The professional clean-girl aesthetic has gone a little too far and sanitized everything away that made Las Vegas kitchy and memorable to begin with.

Caught this little Fashion Show rainbow, too.

I think all these signs look so good with these colors. They are so much more vibrant this way! The Fashion Show sign looks particularly fun with these colors.
